The aim of Brief Strategic Therapy (BST) is
to achieve a noticeable change in anxiety-based
problems within 1 to 3 sessions. The therapy
is based on the latest knowledge and research
about the links between mind and body.
It is now known that a strong link between mind
and body exists and that unwanted behaviour
can be learned and maintained through neurological
pathways (the messages passed within the brain
and nervous system) and physiological pathways
(the messages passed between brain and body).
Brief strategic therapeutic techniques can interrupt
these pathways and so modify the unwanted behaviour.
BST is used to treat a variety of problems including
anxiety, fears and phobias, sleep disorders,
panic attacks, low self-esteem, unwanted behaviour
patterns and neurotic depressive illness.
All our practitioners have completed their training
and passed an external examination in this area
of therapy. Many are also qualified and experienced
in a variety of other therapeutic skills. All
have signed a pledge to follow our code
of conduct and ethics that places you as
the most important person in the treatment process.
