The term “clinical hypnotherapy”
refers both to the diagnosis and application
of hypnotherapeutic approaches to the treatment
of individual problems. This differs dramatically
from performers who use hypnosis for entertainment
and from which activity most fears and misconceptions
arise.
There is nothing either mysterious or magical
about hypnotherapy. Hypnosis is a perfectly
natural state of consciousness in which you
access deeper levels of awareness than in your
normal day-to-day functioning. This provides
you with wider choices about the way you feel,
think and behave.
Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of psychological
problems such as anxiety, phobias, lack of confidence,
panic attacks, stopping smoking, habit cessation,
weight control, pain control. It can also help
with a variety of physiological symptoms that
may have a psychological basis.
All our hypnotherapists have completed their
training and passed an external examination
in this area of therapy. Many are also qualified
and experienced in a variety of other therapeutic
skills. All have signed a pledge to follow our
code
of conduct and ethics that places you as
the most important person in the treatment process.
